Rules for State Championship

All qualifying tournaments will follow the NFHS rules, and any exceptions listed on the Southeastern Fastpitch website. Team standings for each state will be updated the week after each qualifier and can be found on our website.

  • Divisions for the State Championship will be 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and High School.
  • There will be no more than 6 teams in each division.
  • You cannot qualify for a state championship playing in a "sister state's" qualifier. You must play in the state championship in which your qualifier was held. (Example: To qualify for Florida State Championship you must play in a Florida Qualifier. You can NOT qualify for the Georgia State Championship by playing in a Florida qualifier.
  • Teams are permitted to qualify in as many states as they wish. If a team were to qualify for multiple state championships and the dates of said state championships conflict with one another, the team may only compete in.
  • You must play in the same division your team qualified in.
  • Teams must have a minimum of 5 rostered girls from the first qualifier the team participates in to continue to a state championship.
  • State Championships will be a 3/1 format.
  • To advance to a State Championship a team must WIN the gold bracket championship or lead your division in points.
  • Six (6) teams will be advanced to the State Championship after the last scheduled qualifier.
  • Points are not accumulated throughout one qualifier. Points are determined by the team's position in the tournament when the qualifier has completed. (Example: Team makes it to the Semi Finals in the Silver Bracket and loses. The team is awarded 75 points. You do not get 25 points for playing and 75 points for the Semi Final game.)
  • Points tiebreaker if necessary, will be as follows:
  1. Runs Allowed
  2. Run Differential
  3. Runs Scored
  4. Coin Flip
  • Team can accumulate points by playing in multiple qualifiers.
  • Teams that qualify for the state championships must pay their registration fee no later than October 15, 2024.
